He met Roxann and they were married in 1968. Together, they started Rohara Arabians in the same year. Karl continued the active practice of law as a civil litigation attorney representing some of the largest companies in the world. Active, hands on manager of Rohara throughout has been Roxann, but Karl contributes through general advice especially in the financial, breeding and purchasing decisions of the farm.

In 1983, Karl and Roxann, with the expanding operations of Rohara moved to Ocala, Florida. Karl continued to practice law and established an office for his firm in Orlando and Ocala. His practice evolved into one with heavy concentration on representation of foreign companies in litigation in the U.S. courts. He has lectured at several seminars on U.S. litigation in Europe. In 1990, Karl withdrew from the firm with which he had practiced law since 1968 and established his own firm in Ocala, Florida. He continues an active practice of law.

Karl's passion is new foals and yes, he has his favorites. He always says he owns Kahara - horses not for sale! Another favorite past time is enjoying his son, daughter-in-law and grand children. Karl, also, manages Oaks Plantation Cattle Company which he owns in partnership with his long time friend Phil Sheehe. Cattle have always been a life long endeavor.
